Exposition : Marie Lhomet

He teaches at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paysage (Versailles), where he is also responsible for artistic education. The artist travels to places of all kinds, in France and abroad, to gather material that he then brings into play in his studio. Each time, he develops an approach based on surveying, information gathering and encounters. The physical experience is of great importance. The sites explored have been urban, industrial, rural... These explorations give rise to a variety of plastic proposals: painting is the central focus, but it is accompanied by drawings and videos, and sometimes installations. Many of the works concern gardens, natural spaces, paths or walks.
