La Fondation Bernardaud présente sa nouvelle exposition de céramique contemporaine. Jusqu’au 3 avril 2027, découvrez comment la jeune génération s'empare de l'argile pour dépasser toutes les limites.

Depuis les années 2000, la céramique a opéré un virage spectaculaire vers l'art contemporain. Nourri par la philosophie, la psychanalyse ou la sociologie, le travail de l'argile s'est totalement affranchi des traditions pour conquérir une liberté créatrice absolue.

UNE NOUVELLE GÉNÉRATION D’ARTISTES PASSIONNÉS

Réunissant 20 talents internationaux âgés de 18 à 40 ans , dont certains exposent pour la première fois en France, cette exposition témoigne d'un élan mondial. Depuis vingt ans, des milliers de jeunes créateurs s’emparent de la terre comme d'un nouveau terrain de recherche et d'expression. Ce mouvement, à la fois subversif et durable, résonne profondément avec l’air du temps ; il répond à un besoin viscéral d’exister, individuellement et collectivement, pour s’ancrer dans un monde chancelant.
Les défis contemporains tels que le développement rapide du numérique, des réseaux sociaux, l’émergence de nouveaux circuits marchands et les crises écologiques ont formé une génération portée par le décloisonnement. Adaptable et innovante, elle a su mûrir rapidement, s’émanciper des codes obsolètes et imposer sa propre voix artistique.

UN CADRE D’EXPOSITION UNIQUE ET HISTORIQUE

Les œuvres se déploient dans un cadre unique, partageant l'espace avec le four tunnel historique de la manufacture Bernardaud. Cette proximité immédiate fait dialoguer la création ultra-contemporaine avec l’histoire épique et séculaire de la Maison limougeaude. C’est dans cette ambiance si particulière que l'exposition Génération céramique vous invite à une immersion totale, promettant surprises et émerveillements.
